Teenage girl dies after committing ‘suicide’ in Bandipora village
Bandipora, Apr 01, KDC: A 15-year-old girl died Thursday evening after allegedly committing suicide in Inderkoot village of Sumbal in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com- (KDC) that a 9th class girl student (name withheld), a resident of Inderkoot Village of Sumbal, Bandipora, fell unconscious after she allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her home.
She was immediately rushed to CHC Sumbal, where doctors on duty declared her dead.
BMO Hajin, Dr. Aijaz confirmed the death of the girl to KDC and said that the actual cause of death will be only ascertained after completing medico- legal formalities.
“Preliminary it looks like the girl had died due to poisoning,” he added.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident. (KDC)
