2 persons arrested, Dumpers seized for illegal excavation, transportation of minerals: Police

Budgam May 29 (KB): Budgam Police seized 02 Dumpers and arrested 02 persons involved in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals.
During naka checking at Goripora, police party of police post Humhama intercepted 02 Dumpers loaded with illegally extracted soil. The accused drivers were arrested and subsequently identified as: Gulzar Ahmed Nagroo son of Ghulam Mohammad Nagroo resident of Charweni Charar-e-Sharief & Zameer Ahmed Yatoo son of Nazir Ahmed Yatoo resident of Nagam Chadoora Registration numbers of seized vehicles are JK13E 4531, JK13C,1437.
In this regard, Case FIR number 172/2022,under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation set into motion.
Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units. (KB)
