Srinagar: Two Kashmiri journalists Syed Shahriyar and Shahid Tantray have won the Human Rights and Religious Freedom Journalism Awards (HRRFJA) for the year 2022.
Mr. Shahriyar has won the award for the ‘Best Photo Story on Human Rights and Religious Freedom’ and Mr. Shahid for the ‘Best Video Story on Human Rights and Religious Freedom’.
Shahid will be sharing the award with The News Minute’s Priyanka Thirumurthy.
Both Shahid and Shahriyar are residents of Kashmir’s capital Srinagar.
While Syed Shahriyar is an Independent Journalist, Shahid Tantary works with The Caravan as a Multimedia Reporter.
The HRRFJ Awards are being organized by a Washington DC-based advocacy group named Indian American Muslim Council.
