Doda, Nov 09 (KNO): After hectic efforts, one body and a vehicle have been recovered from river Chenab in Doda on Wednesday where an accident took place late Tuesday night.

 

Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda, Abdul Qayoom said that a body identified as Aditiya Kotwal son of Rakesh Kumar, resident of Paryote Doda has been recovered. He added that the vehicle that met with an accident has also been recovered today.

“A rescue team comprising of J&K Police, Indian Army, SDRF and local volunteers today recovered a body of a youth along with the car,” he said.

 

He said the rescue operation will be halted for night due to low visibility, adding that the rescue operation will be started again tomorrow. SSP further said three persons are still missing as the body of only one person travelling in the vehicle has been recovered.

Those who are yet to be recovered have been identified as Rohan Mangotra son of Sadhu Ram of Nai Dangry Doda, Surjeet Singh son of Dharam Singh of Jodhpur Doda and Vishal Chandel son of Jagdish of Shiva Suhanda Doda—(KNO)
