Govt announces winter vacations for Kashmir and winter zone of Jammu division, issues official order

Srinagar, 25 Nov (KB): The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday announced winter vacations in Kashmir Division and winter zones of Jammu Division in a phased manner from 1st of December.

According to an official order issued by Principal secretary to Government school education department Alok Kumar a copy of which is in possession of Kashmir Bulletin — KB, reads It is hereby ordered that all Government Schools and recognized Private Schools upto Higher Secondary Level of Kashmir Division and Winter zone of Jammu Division shall observe winter vacation from 1st of December in a phased manner.

As per order, classes Upto 5th standard shall observe vacations from 1 December, 2022 to 28th February, 2023, classes from 6th to 8th standard shall observe vacations 12th December, 2022 to 28 February, 2023, classes from 9th to 12th standard shall observe vacations from 19th December, 2022 to 28th February, 2023.

It is further ordered, The Teaching staff of High and Higher Secondary Schools shall report back to their respective schools on 20th February, 2023, so that they remain available for making arrangements regarding preparation of ensuring examinations.

All teachers shall remain available on demand for any online guidance of students
during the vacation period.

Any default on part of the Head of the Schools/Teaching staff in observance of the, the above schedule shall attract strict action under Rules, reads the official order. (Kashmir Bulletin — KB)
