674 BSF Trainees Pass Out to Take Up New Challenges on Border

Budgam, 11 Oct (KB): A grand passing out parade and attestation ceremony of Recruit Batch No. 120, 121, 122, and 123 was held at Subsidiary Training Centre, BSF, Humhama. The ceremony marked the induction of 674 recruits into the Border Security Force (BSF) as brave Seema Praharis in General Duty.

In a statement issued here to news agency Kashmir Bulletin reass, The recruits, hailing from various states across India, including Madhya Pradesh (460), Chattisgarh (87), Telangana (23), Tamilnadu (95), Pondicherry (06), Odisha (02), and Bihar (01), underwent rigorous training to prepare them for border security challenges.

Sh Ashok Yadav, IPS, IG BSF, Ftr Kashmir graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He inspected the parade and appreciated the recruits’ display of self-confidence, skill, and coordination. Sh Yadav encouraged the recruits to serve the nation with courage and enthusiasm.

The Chief Guest awarded medals to outstanding recruits and congratulated Commandant (CI), STC BSF Kashmir, and the instructional teams for their tireless efforts. Five trainees from each batch received trophies for exceptional performance.

The 44-week training program equipped recruits with proficiency in handling various weapons, firing skills, border management, physical efficiency and endurance, field craft & tactics, counter -terrorism, counter-insurgency, law & order and human rights, among others.

The passing out parade was attended by senior officers from civil administration, the Army, Air Force, CRPF, SSB, J&K Police, media representatives, BSF personnel, and their family members.

As the world’s largest border security force, the BSF plays a vital role in safeguarding India’s borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh. With its motto “JEEVAN PARYANT KARTAVYA” the force has grown from 25 battalions in 1965 to 193 battalions with 270,000 personnel. (KB)
