Srinagar, Oct 13 (KB): Government of Jammu and Kashmir, registrar general, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Srinagar of Thursday ordered appointment of District Judges on adhoc basis.
According to an order issued by Government of Jammu and Kashmir Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. (Judicial Administration Section) Civil Secretariat, Jammu/Srinagar, a copy of which is in possession of Kashmir Bulletin (KB), reads that as recommended by the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and in terms of rule 20 of the Jammu and Kashmir Higher Judicial Service Rules 2009, sanction is hereby accorded to the adhoc appointment of the following Sub-Judges as District Judges (Entry Level).
“Sh. Amarjit Singh Langeh, Ms. Sandeep Kour, Sh. Amit Kumar Gupta. 4. Sh. Sandeep Gandotra, Sh. Anoop Kumar, Sh. Farooq Ahmad Bhat, Sh. Shabir Ahmad Malik, Sh. Arvind Sharma, Sh. Yash Pal Sharma, Sh. Amit Sharma, Sh. Khurshid-ul-Islam, Ms. Arti Mohan, Ms. Umi Kulsoom, Sh. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Sh. Iqbal Ahmad Masoodi, Ms. Renu Dogra, Sudesh Sharma, Ms. Spalzes Angmo, Sh. Adnan Syed, Sh. Khem Raj, Sh. Dinesh Gupta and Sh.Parvaiz Iqbal. The aforesaid adhoC appointment shall be subject to the following conditions,” reads the order copy.
“LAW-Jud/59/2021-10-Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs: The adhoc appointment shall be for a period of six months or till the regular selection/appointment is made, whichever is earlier.”
“The adhoc appointment shall not confer any right to claim seniority or any other superior right to the adhoC appointees viz-a-viz those who may be appointed pursuant to regular selection against direct or LCE quota; and,” it reads.
“The adhoc appointees shall be reverted to the cadre of Civil Judges (Sr. Division )/Sub Judges in case they are not found fit for promotion to the post of District Judge after regular selection procesS or in case sufficient posts are not available for their promotion on regular basis.
