Anantnag, Jan 8, KNT: South Kashmir’s Anantnag will get a Ghanta Ghar’ on lines of Lal chowk in Srinagar, this was informed by Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr Piyush Singla.

“Lal Chowk Anantnag soon to have renovated look with Clock Tower & Rotary on pattern of Lal Chowk Srinagar. Work starting in next couple of days. Good job MC Anantnag,” Singla tweeted.

The work on proposed clock tower will be completed in 3 months and it will be constructed at a cost of Rs 50 lakh.

The idea of proposed tower didn’t go down well with netizens who asked administration to provide a parking area or some other thing that will benefit people rather than ‘wasting’ money on the tower. (KNT)
