“I came early to cast my vote because I want a better future for my children. Voting is our right, and it’s the only way we can bring about change,” said Nazir Ahmad, a resident of Anantnag, while waiting in line.

Many young voters also turned out in large numbers, eager to take part in the democratic process.

Similarly, Mehnaz Jan from Anantnag, a first-time voter, exclaimed with great enthusiasm, “I have been waiting so long to vote. Voting is a responsibility. I want to make sure my vote counts for progress and development.”

Meanwhile, mock drills were conducted before voting commenced. All district administrations had made elaborate arrangements at polling stations to facilitate hassle-free voting.

Moreover, the turnout has been overwhelming so far, with people eager to cast their votes, and everything has been proceeding smoothly—(KB).
