Authorities Allow LMV Traffic Movement on Jammu-Srinagar Highway

Srinagar, Mar 04 (KB): In wake of improvement in weather conditions, authorities have allowed movement of light-motor-vehicles on Srinagar-Jammu highway this morning.

An official told news agency Kashmir Bulletin that the movement of LMVs, has been allowed on both sides.

Advising the commuters to follow lane discipline, the official asserted the overtaking will cause congestion. traffic

“Passengers are advised to undertake journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW during day time and avoid unnecessary haltage between Ramban and Banihal as there is apprehension of landslide/shooting stones,” the official said, adding, “However, HMVs shall be allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar later on after assessment of road conditions.” (KB)
