Biker Dies, Pillion Rider Injured in Baramulla Road Mishap

Srinagar, Mar 13 (KB): A biker died while his pillion rider sustained injuries in a road accident near Chatloora area in Baramulla district on Thursday afternoon.

An official told news agency Kashmir Bulletin that a bike registration number JK05F 1474, met with an accident near Chatloora-Watergam crossing, resulting in injuries to the biker and his pillion rider.

Identifying the duo as Farhad Khursheed son of Khursheed Ahmad Bhat and Furqan Mushtaq son of Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, both residents of Watergam Baramulla, the official said they were taken to Dangiwacha hospital, where one Farhad Khursheed was declared as dead on arrival.

“The other person has been referred to GMC Baramulla in critical conditions,” said the official.

A police official confirming the incident told Kashmir Bulletin that they have taken cognisance of the matter for further investigations. (KB)
