Srinagar, Aug 16 (KB): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jammu and Kashmir has expressed enthusiasm following the Election Commission of India’s announcement of the upcoming assembly elections in the region.
BJP President Ravinder Raina, speaking to the Kashmir Bulletin (KB), welcomed the decision, emphasizing the party’s readiness and confidence in securing a decisive mandate from the people of Jammu and Kashmir to establish their government.
Raina said they had been eagerly waiting for this announcement since the Lok Sabha elections and added that the BJP is fully prepared for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
“I am quite sure that the people of Jammu and Kashmir will support BJP wholeheartedly in the Assembly Elections, and we will form our own government in J&K,” said Raina, adding that in the last 10 years, the Modi Government, through relentless efforts and initiatives, has strengthened peace and prosperity and started a new era of development by reinforcing democracy in J&K.
Patiently, Ravinder Raina mentioned that the assembly elections will further strengthen the roots of democracy, opening the door to a new period of development for J&K.
Additionally, Raina stated that the people of Jammu and Kashmir shall actively participate in the elections and vote in large numbers to form a government that will sustain peace and development and ensure a brighter future for the younger generation in Jammu & Kashmir.—(KB)
