BJY; Security measures in place for Yatra, Details Here
Srinagar, Jan 27 (KB): The Bharat Jadoo Yatra, in Jammu and Kashmir went smoothly with full security arrangements in place, according to a tweet from the Jammu and Kashmir Police. Only authorized persons were allowed to participate in the yatra, and the crowd was frisked before being allowed to proceed.
The Kashmir Zone Police according per a tweet, as per Kashmir Bulletin–(KB), said that despite a large gathering of people from the town of Banihal joining the yatra, the organizers and managers of the event did not inform the police. However, the police reassured that 15 companies of Central Armed Police Forces and 10 companies of the Jammu and Kashmir Police were deployed for the event, including Rapid Action and Quick Response Teams, and that there was no security lapse.
“They also mentioned that the Jammu and Kashmir Police were not consulted before the decision was made to discontinue the yatra after only one kilometer, but the rest of the event continued peacefully. The police emphasized their commitment to providing foolproof security for all events in the region.”
In a series of Tweets Kashmir Zone Police wrote, “Only authorised persons as identified by organisers & frisked crowd was allowed inside towards the route of Yatra. Organisers & managers of BJY did not intimate about large gathering from Banihal joining the Yatra, which thronged near the starting point. (1/3).
“Full #security arrangements were in place including 15 Coys of CAPFs and 10 Coys of JKP, comprising of ROPs and QRTs, route domination, lateral deployment and SFs were deployed for high-ridge and other deployments”

Notably, the Congress alleged breach of security and mismanagement of crowd by Jammu and Kashmir administration. AICC incharge Rajni Patil tweeted that the JK administration failed to provide security to Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Shri Rahul Gandhi. (Kashmir Bulletin–KB)
