Body of 65-year-old woman recovered from River Jhelum

Srinagar, April 30(KB): A 65-year-old woman’s body was recovered from the River Jhelum in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district after she reportedly jumped into it.

According to locals, the River Police team swiftly responded to the scene after receiving information from residents. With the help of locals, the police retrieved the woman’s body from the river.

She was identified as Jegri Begum, wife of Ali Mohammed Sheikh, a resident of Pala Pora Sonawari.

The body has been handed over to the Police Station Raj Bagh for legal formalities.(KB).
