Kupwara, Nov 21: Body of a 9-year-old ‘mentally unsound’ boy was found along banks of Pohru river in Kulangam area of Handwara in North-Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Reports reaching GNS said that body of one Haris Ahmad, son of Javid Ahmad was spotted by some passersby, following which they informed police. A police team later on reached the spot and took the body for medical examination.
Confirming it to GNS, a police official said the boy was ‘mentally unsound’. “The body was handed over to the family after medico-legal formalities”, he said adding a case has been taken under 174 CrPC into the incident. (GNS)
