BSF Foils Infiltration Bid, Guns Down Intruder Along IB in Pathankot
Srinagar, Feb 26 (KB): Border Security Forces on Wednesday said to have foiled an infiltration bid by gunning down an intruder along International Border in Pathankot, Jammu.
“On 26th Feb 2025, at pre dawn, 109 BSF troops observed a suspicious movement across the IB in BOP Tashpatan, Pathankot border area and an intruder was observed crossing IB, he was challenged by the alert troops but paid no heed & kept on moving,” said an official, adding, “BSF troops sensing threat neutralised the intruder.”
“Identity & motive of the intruder is being ascertained,” said the official, as per news agency Kashmir Bulletin.
Maintaining that vigilant troops thwarted infiltration attempt, the official further said that a strong protest will be lodged with Pakistan Rangers regarding the matter. (KB)
