LOLAB LIONS ADOPT GIRL OF DECORATED MARTYR
In the quest for reaching out to the families of Veterans and Veer naris, Lolab Lions adopted, Ms Hamida Bano the youngest daughter of Rfn Abdul Hamid Chara, SC(Posthumous) who got martyred in 2007. The unit resolved to provide the complete expenses for her studies to include tution fee, uniform, books and other imperative things. The unit was approached by the Veer nari stating that the family is living in Kupwara with meagre financial resources and that the cost of teaching their five kids who are all studying in different classes is casting a huge financial strain on them. The unit was quick to respond and paying a fitting homage to the extreme sacrifice of the soldier decided to provide the financial assistance to the family annually till the time their youngest daughter completes her studies.
