Anantnag, Aug 27 (KB): Congress candidate from Dooru Assembly constituency, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, expressed dismay over the lack of representation from Jammu and Kashmir for the past 11 years.

Mir, while addressing the public in Anantnag, as per the news agency—Kashmir Bulletin (KB), stated that the people of J&K have not had any representation for the last 11 years. He mentioned that the people are suffocated by the torture inflicted by the BJP and the central government.

Mir also called for democracy in the region, echoing a consistent demand of the INDIA alliance. He emphasized the need for the public to choose their representatives, stating that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are eager to participate in the democratic process and develop a government of their own choice.

“BJP is frustrated with the unity here of the INDIA alliance,” Mir added.—(KB)
