Cop Shot At, Injured At Eidgah Srinagar, Shifted to Hospital

Srinagar, October 29: Unknown gunmen suspected to be militants fired upon a cop near Eidgah area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Sunday.

A top police officer told GNS that militants fired upon on inspector, identified as Masood near Eighah. He was has been shifted to nearby hospital for treatment. His condition is said to be critical.

As per the sources he is posted in DPL.

Meanwhile whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.(GNS)

Previous Article Sonam Lotus Transferred to Leh, Dr. Mukhtar to Head MeT Centre Srinagar Srinagar, Oct 29 (KB): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has been transferred, Sh. Sonam Lotus, Scientist-E, to Leh as the Head of MeT Centre Leh, as this change comes as part of a recent order issued by the Office of the Director General of Meteorology, a copy of which has been acquired by Kashmir Bulletin. The order further dictates that Sh. Sonam Lotus is to assume his new role as Head of MeT Centre Leh immediately and is relieved of his duties as the Head of MeT Centre Srinagar, a position he had been holding until now, while this transfer will remain in effect until further orders from the authorities. Simultaneously, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, Scientist-D, has been appointed to take on the responsibilities of Head of MeT Centre Srinagar with immediate effect until further orders. The Meteorological Centres in Leh and Srinagar and is expected to have implications for weather forecasting and meteorological services in these region, while as Sh. Sonam Lotus has been known for his contribution to meteorology and weather forecasting in the region, and his transfer to Leh raises curiosity about the potential impact on meteorological operations in the area. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, the newly appointed Head of MeT Centre Srinagar, brings his expertise to the role and will now oversee the operations and services provided by the Srinagar centre.
