Court dispatches copy to Cyber Police for necessary action under law after ARTO files complaint

Baramulla, Feb 4, KNT: Court Thursday forwarded the copy of a complainant to Cyber Police Station Srinagar for necessary action under law.
  
The Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar forwarded the copy to Cyber police station after the petitioner ARTO Baramulla Mubashir Jan filed a petition through his Counsel Advocate Salim Yousuf seeking registration of an FIR and blockage of social media accounts of one Sirajuddin Salam alias Najar of Kanispora Baramulla who according to petitioner has uploaded videos on Social Media against him to malign his image. 
     
Sources told Kashmir News Trust that Mubashir    Jan, Assistant Regional Transport officer Baramulla in his petition has claimed that Sirajuddin Salam is a habitual offender who uses social media networking sites including facebook with malafide intentions to black mail government officials.
   
The petitioner through his Counsel informed the Court that the accused has uploaded ‘false and baseless’ videos on social media and has played with his reputation and dignity. “The accused also leveled false allegations against him before media at press Enclave Srinagar,” the petitioner stated.
  
 Counsel for the complainant Advocate Saleem Yousuf while arguing the matter said that the accused has no authority under law to upload any defamatory material against any individual 
   
Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar after perusing the record and hearing the Counsel for complainant forwarded the copy of complainant to Station House officer Cyber Police Station Kashmir for necessary action as warranted under law.(KNT)
