Cyber Cell Udhampur Recovers Over 3.5 Lac in Cyber Fraud Cases

Srinagar, Mar 01 (KB): Cyber Police wing of district Police Udhampur has recovered over three lac rupees, in five instances of Cyber fraud cases.

“Continuing its dedicated efforts to combat cyber fraud and protect the public, the Cyber Cell of District Police Udhampur has successfully recovered and refunded a total amount of ₹3,35,840/- to victims across five different cases of online financial fraud,” said a Spokesperson in a statement issued to news agency Kashmir Bulletin.

“Upon receiving the complaints, the Cyber Cell swiftly initiated an inquiry and worked diligently to reverse and recover the defrauded amount. As a result, the recovered funds have been credited back to the respective victims; ₹1,45,000/- refunded to Mohan Lal, son of Gian Chand, of Majalta, Tehsil Majalta, District Udhampur; ₹1,00,000/- refunded to Kiran Devi, wife of Rajindra Singh, resident of Joffer, Tehsil Ramnagar, District Udhampur; ₹56,840/- refunded to Rakesh Kumar Gupta, son of Late Sita Ram Gupta, of Chabutra Bazar W.No.8 H.No.75, Tehsil and District Udhampur; ₹20,000/- refunded to Om Parkash, of Tikri, Tehsil and District Udhampur; and ₹14,000/- refunded to Bhim Singh, son of Late Mangat Ram, resident of Malhar, Tehsil and District Udhampur,” the Spokesperson said.

“Udhampur Police urges citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or cyber fraud incidents immediately. In case of any fraudulent calls or online scams, contact:
