No confidence motion against Mayor Mattu to be filed in two days: BJP Councillor

He said that a laboratory block costing more than Rs one crore has been approved under Union territory capex budget for the School.

“The specification for the said lab was 7,500 square feet but that was not possible later with the intervention of authorities and it was decided to construct a building of 3000-4000 square feet”, the official added.

He said the revenue department identified the state land but kept demarcation on hold due to unknown reasons. “Despite repeatedly approaching Tehsildar Shangus, he is just avoiding it by one or the other way due to unknown reasons”, he added.

However, the locals said: “It is a matter of education of poor students who can get benefit from this laboratory but when our Tehsildar is not serious for this important issue then what can we expect from others. The students studying in the school are mostly from ST category.”

They said the sole aim is that laboratory must be constructed so that students belonging to financially weak families can get benefit and funds should not go waste.

“The government must constitute a committee and investigate the matter so that the construction of the lab will start as soon as possible”, they said.

Meanwhile, Tehsildar Shangus Naseer Ahmad Parra when contacted said that he is driving and can’t say anything this time and disconnected the call.

On the second day, when he was contacted again, he said such issues aren’t being discussed on the phone, so visit office—(KNO)
