District Netball championship concludes
Jammu, Aug 24 (KB): The Netball Association of Jammu and Kashmir conducted a one-day Netball District Championship at the Indoor Hall, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu.
Participation by nearly 250 students from different schools in the district is witnessed in the championship.
“What marked the event was the grace of distinguished guests, including President Singh 4 All Foundation, Mr. Manjeet Singh, who had agreed to be the chief guest. Other dignitaries present included the General Secretary, Judo Association, Mr Vikas Gupta; Secretary, Dance Sports Council of J&K, Mrs Gurvinder; Incharge Bhagwati Nagar Indoor Sports Complex, J&K Sports Council, Ms Ritika Salathia; and Mr TP Singh, all of whom were Guests of Honour,” reads a handout issue to the news agency—Kashmir Bulletin (KB).
It reads, the championship provided an excellent platform for young athletes to prove their potential in terms of talent, determination, and teamwork. Throughout the whole event, the students performed with great skill, impressing the audience and guests alike.
Also, the Netball Association of Jammu and Kashmir feels highly indebted to all the participants, coaches, schools, and supporters who made the event a success. The presence of the guests proved of immense value, and their encouragement was highly appreciated.
The statement further reads, the championship becomes a success, mirroring the increasing prominence of sports in the region about character building and inculcating teamwork among its youth.—(KB)
