Pattan 14 Oct : Pattan Police arrested a drug peddler with contraband substance in near Hamrey Pattan area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district here on Friday morning.
An official told that Continuing its efforts to curb drug menace from the society, Pattan Police on Friday morning arrested a drug peddler with contraband substance in hamrey Pattan.
He adds that on specific input, DO Palhallan Sub insp. Aaeraf Ahmed under the supervision of SDPO Pattan Nawaz Ahmad established a Naka near Hamray Pattan along Srinagar-Baramulla national highway, during which Sub insp. Aaeraf Ahmed Tactfully Caught a person with charas like substance from his procession.
The drug peddler was identified as Asif Ah. Bhat S/O Abdul Salam Bhat a resident of Anderkoot Sumbal.
Meanwhile a case has been registered under relevant sections of law and further investigation has been taken up in this regard.
