Weather Update for Jammu & Kashmir: Light Snow & Rain Expected in Coming Days

 

The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a weather forecast for Jammu & Kashmir, predicting a mix of light rain and snow in the coming days, particularly over higher reaches.

  • February 9: Light rain or snow may occur at isolated higher reaches, particularly towards the night.

 

  • February 10-11: Generally cloudy conditions with the possibility of light rain or snow at scattered places in Kashmir, mainly in the higher reaches of North and Central Kashmir. Isolated areas in Jammu Division may also experience light precipitation.

 

  • February 12-14: The weather is expected to remain dry across the region.

 

  • February 15-16: Cloudy conditions with light rain or snow at isolated locations.

 

  • February 17: The weather is likely to remain dry once again.

Authorities have advised tourists, travelers, and transporters to stay updated with official advisories issued by the administration and traffic control departments. Those traveling to higher altitudes should exercise caution due to potential slippery roads and changing weather conditions.
