Furquan Bashir. S/O Bashir Ahmad Bhat, hailing from Kremshore Budgam Kashmir. Furquan is kashmiri sufi Artist from land of sufi saints Kashmir, furquan is 12th class studet who love’s to sing sufi songs from very young age, while talking to our reporter he metioned that he is very passionate towords sufi music , furquan used to sing sufi ghazals and naat e shareef in school competitions and at very young age i got very effected with sufi music and sufi culture, My favriout Kashmir sufi singer is Ab Rashid Hafiz he is my inspiration.
One day i met a music teacher (ustaad) his name is Syed Zahoor, he is from our village and very first meet he saw something in me and told me son you should learn harmonium and to be Hounstly at that time i don’t have any clue about harmonium, then my ustaad zahoor sir teach me, i started learning from basics and then i started participating in sufi mehfils in ustaads home ,my teachers father was also a Sufi singer and sufi saint, and from that day to this day my passion grows more day by day .
My personal message to youth is we should not have to forget our roots and we should love our mother tongue, and if you are good at something be it art, music, poetry, writing, don’t leave its hand try to nurture your skills everyday with perseverance.
