GRPF Kashmir Rescues Minor Girl in South Kashmir, Reunites Her With Family in Sopore
Anantnag, Feb 24 (KB): Government Railway Protection Force Kashmir on Monday said to have rescued and subsequently reunited her with family in Sopore in North Kashmir.
“Upon receiving information, the GRPS Anantnag team, in coordination with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), promptly intercepted the girl (name withheld) daughter of Showket Ahmed, a resident of Krankshovan, Sopore,” the GRPF said in a statement issued to Kashmir Bulletin. “She was traveling alone from Banihal towards Sopore after being inadvertently separated from her father, who was unable to board the train at Banihal,” reads the statement.
“The vigilant personnel of RPF and GRPS Anantnag deboarded the child safely at Anantnag Railway Station. After establishing contact with her father, she was handed over to him following the necessary legal formalities,” reads the statement.
“Railway Police Kashmir remains steadfast in its commitment to serving society and ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers,” concluded the statement. (KB)
