Indian Army hosts Jashn-e-Tral Festival in GDC Tral

Tral, Feb 27 (KB): 42 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) of the Indian Army hosted a vibrant cultural event, “Jashn-e-Tral,” at Degree College Tral today that brought together dignitaries, students, and locals into a day of fun and creativity.

The event was graced by Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral Sajid Naqash, SSP Awantipora Sajad Ahmad, CO 42 Rashtriya Rifles Colonel Mathews, Dysp Tral Rajesh Kumar and CO 130 Battalion CRPF Rajiv Yadav. A large number of students and locals also participated, hence making the festival a grand success.

The artists of different parts of the valley enchanted the audience with colorful performances, including Hindi, Punjabi, and Kashmiri songs, folk music, and traditional dance. The performances highlighted the region’s richness of culture and created a feeling of joy and oneness.

The celebration was received favourably for bringing about cultural tolerance and providing for local talent expression. These functions are extremely necessary in solidifying community bonds and encouraging artistic presentation in the locality.— (KB)
