Jammu & Kashmir Government Transfers Top Power Department Officials

Jammu, December 30, 2023(KB): The Jammu & Kashmir government today issued transfers and postings of several top officials of the Power Development Department.

As per a government order, Er Rohila Wani, Joint Managing Director of Chenab Valley Power Projects Pvt Ltd (CVPPPL), has been transferred and posted as In-Charge Chief Engineer (Generation), Jammu & Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (JKPDC) in Kashmir. She will also hold additional charge of Chief Engineer (Transmission), Jammu & Kashmir Power Transmission Corporation Limited (JKPTCL) in Kashmir.

Er Ghulam Rasool Khanday, who was In-Charge Chief Engineer (Generation) In- Charge JKPDC Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as In-Charge Chief Engineer (Projects) at Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL).

Several other senior engineers of the department including Er Rajan Gupta, Er Bavinder Kundal, Er Sandeep Seth, and Er Karam Chand have also been transferred to new assignments within the power corporations.

The transfers have been ordered in the interest of administration by the J&K government led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. Er H Rajesh Prasad, Principal Secretary, Power Development Department, has issued the transfer order.

The government order stated that the transfers are effective immediately. The power department is responsible for generation, transmission and distribution of electricity across Jammu & Kashmir.–(Kashmir Bulletin)
