J&K Govt to curb ‘fake document submissions for employment applications’

Srinagar, Sep 13 (KB): The Jammu and Kashmir government has issued stiff instructions to the administrative secretaries, heads of departments, and Deputy Commissioners to curb the malpractice of fake or forged documents in employment applications.

According to news agency—Kashmir Bulletin (KB), the step has also been taken amidst growing allegations of fraud. Recruitment agencies are accountable themselves to the government through its process of allotment, as the government emphasizes that it is solely upon the information and documents provided by the applicants that the selection of candidates occurs. Qualifications, age, and caste reservation details, etc. are very scrutinized at a verification level before making the final appointments.

To deal with the worsening menace, the government has made it obligatory that appointment orders have to contain a clause for lodging criminal cases against such candidates who tender fake or forged documents with their applications.

Such candidates will be ejected from government service without causing financial losses to the government, and legal action will also be initiated against them,” the government circular states.
