JK Legal Services Authority Recruitment 2023: Full Notification

Application Fee:
The candidates applying to a post shall have deposit fees of Rs.500/- online through Net Banking, Credit or Debit cards.
Salary:
- Legal Assistant: Rs.35,900-1,13,500
- Junior Legal Assistant: Rs.35,600-1,12,800
Eligibility Criteria for JK Legal Services Authority Recruitment:
Educational Qualification:
Legal Assistant: Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized university.
Jr. Legal Assistant: Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized university.
Age Limit as on 01-01-2023:
Min Age: Not below 18 years
Max Age:
(a) 40 years in case of Open Merit.
(b) 43 years in case of SC/ST/RBA/ALC, IB/EWS/PSP/Social Caste.
(c) 42 years in the case of Physically Challenged candidates.
(d) 40 years in case of candidates in Government Service/Contractual employees.
Selection Criteria:
The selection for the posts shall be made on the basis of merit obtained by the candidate in an Objective Type Multiple Choice Computer Based Test (CBT) only.
Centre of Examination:
The examination will be held at Srinagar & Jammu centres.
Syllabus for the post of Legal Assistant & Junior Legal Assistant:
There shall be an objective type written test (Computer based test CBT) comprising of 100 questions, each question carrying one mark. The CBT shall comprise questions on the following subjects:
i. Constitutional Law: 15 Marks
ii. Administrative Law: 15 Marks
ii. Code of Civil Procedure, 1908: 15 Marks
iv. Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973: 15 Marks iv.
v. Law of contract: 15 Marks
vi. Environmental Law: 15 Marks
vii. General Knowledge/Current Affairs: 10 Marks
