J&K Police Attach Properties of Two Pakistan-based Terror Handlers in Handwara
Srinagar, Feb 25 (KB): Jammu and Kashmir Police attached properties of two Pakistan-based terror handlers, following an attachment order issued by the Hon’ble Additional Sessions Court, Handwara.
The attached properties, totaling 3 Kanals and 12 Marlas of land, valued in several lakhs and belong to Tahir Ahmad Peer, son of Shamus-ud-din Peer, resident of Badrah Bala Qaziabad and Mohd Ramzan Ganie, son of Mohd Abdullah Ganie, resident of Ganapora Qaziabad, the Police said in a statement issued to news agency Kashmir Bulletin.
The action, as per the statement, was carried out under Section 88 CrPC (83 Central) in connection with FIR No. 73/2011, registered under Sections 2/3 of the EIMCO Act and 121A of the RPC at Police Station Kralgund.
“During the course of investigation and inquiry, the properties were identified as belonging to absconders involved in anti-national activities,” the statement reads, adding “the operation reaffirms the commitment of Police to combat the terror activities.” (KB)
