Man Killed, Another Injured in Hit-and-run Case in Ganderbal

Srinagar, Mar 03 (KB): A man was killed and another injured in a hit-and-run case in Tulmulla area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district this afternoon.

An official told news agency Kashmir Bulletin that an unknown Brezza car, struck two pedestrians at Tulmulla in Ganderbal, resulting in death of one and injuries to another.

Identifying the deceased as Abdul Rashid Dar, son of Abdul Ahad, a resident of Masherpora Tulmulla, the official said that he alongside Abdul Qayoom Sheikh, son of Ali Mohammad Sheikh, a resident of New Colony Tullamulla, sustained injuries in the incident and were immediately taken to District Hospital Ganderbal, where Abdul Rashid later on succumbed to his injuries.

“The injured person is undergoing treatment,” the official said.

“A case has been registered in this regard for further investigations and necessary proceedings thereof,” added the official. (KB)
