Massive Fire Destroys Joinery Mill in Bandipora’s Nowga

Bandipora, Feb 02 (JKNS): A devastating fire broke out in Malapora Nowgam area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district completely gutting a joinery mill and causing heavy losses.

An official told news agency JKNS that the fire erupted during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday around 12:30 AM, destroying timber worth lakhs, wooden doorframes, and machinery belongs to Mohd Ashraf Dogra son of Mohd Akbar Dogra resident of Nowgam Sonawari. massive

Fire tenders from Sumbal, along with locals, responded to the scene and contained the flames, but the structure was completely destroyed. The cause of the fire remains unknown, official said. massive

“The delayed response from Sumbal Fire Station often results in huge losses. We urge the administration to establish a fire unit in Nowgam area,” a local resident said.
