Sana, a 16-year-old from Donipawa area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, has so far won several medals at the state and district levels.
Sana said that she was interested in sports since her childhood and she used to take part in every competition.
In her first competition at the district level, she won a gold medal and a place in the state championships. After winning gold in the state championship, sana got a chance in the nationals but could not participate due to some issues.

“I have also won gold medals in Thang Ta and Wushu” she added.
Talking about the indifferent attitude of the society towards the girls who play aggressive games, she says, “In my playing days, there was hardly any support from the society but now the situation has improved a lot. Has seen parents follow their wards game.
“We need to take part in sports to keep ourselves fit and healthy and to stay away from drugs,” She said.
