Minor dies after being hit by speedy vehicle in Jammu

Srinagar 22 Feb (KB): A minor boy died on Saturday after being struck by a matador on National Highway 44 near Sunjwan Morh area of Narwal in Jammu district.

An official source told Kashmir Bulletin that the vehicle, bearing registration number JK02BH-8876, was driven recklessly by an unknown driver while traveling from Ambphla to Sanjwan.

He said that the driver lost control, hitting the 6-year-old boy, resulting in his death on the spot.

The deceased was identified as Vivek, son of Jagdish Parshad, a resident of Jangjir Champa, Chhattisgarh.

The body was taken to GMC Jammu for post-mortem, the official added.(KB)
