Minor Girl Drowns to Death in Bandipora
Srinagar, Feb 27 (KB): A minor girl drowned to death in river Jhelum in Banyari area in Bandipora district, official sources said.
They told news agency Kashmir Bulletin that one Amina Jan, daughter of Hilal Ahmad Dar, slipped into river Jhelum this morning. “Soon after the incident, a widespread rescue operation was launched at the site and subsequently the body retrieved from the water body,” they said.
“The rescue operation was jointly carried out by Police, SDRF and locals,” they added. (KB)
