Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to lead friday prayers at Jamia Masjid after 4 weeks

Srinagar, Oct 04 (KB): Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to lead friday prayers at Jamia Masjid after 4 weeks, anjuman Auqaf said on Friday.

Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid has informed that the authorities have conveyed to them that the restrictions imposed on Mirwaiz Umar Farooq since September 2nd have been lifted today .

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will deliver his Friday sermon at Jama Masjid today inshallah, the statement added.

It is important to mention that Mirwaiz had earlier filed a plea in Jammu and Kashmir High Court against his Hose detention, and the hearing was scheduled for today. (KB)
