Missing TA soldier traced, found safe, probe underway

Anantnag, Feb 02 (KNO): A Territorial Army (TA) soldier, who had gone missing in Achabal area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, has been traced by police, officials said on Sunday.

The soldier identified as Abid Hussain Bhat, son of Abdul Gani Bhat from Kharpora Chittergul, was on one-month leave and was supposed to report back for duty but went missing. He is from 162 TA unit.

A police officer told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the soldier has now been found. “There is no terror angle in the case so far. Investigation has started.”—(KNO)
