Mufti Sayeed’s death anniversary fallout
Government directs police to book 10 PDP leaders including Sartaj Madni for ‘violating’ Covid-19 SOPs
Bijbehara, Jan 8, KNT: Government has directed police to book PDP workers who organized a rally on the death anniversary of late chief minister Mufit Muhammad Sayeed in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district against the violation of Covid-19 SOPs.
    
Executive Magistrate 1st Class-Bijbehara in a communique to SHO Police Station Bijbehara has directed him to book 10 persons including for minister Abdul Rehman Veeri and Sartaj Madni under relevant sections of law for organizing a rally on the death anniversary of late chief minister Mufit Muhammad Sayeed in Zirpara Padshahi bagh area of Bijbehara against the violation of Covid-19 SOPs.
   
Executive Magistrate 1st Class-Bijbehara as per news agency Kashmir News Trust in his communique has said that at least 10 persons from Peoples Democratic Party organized a large gathering in Bijbehara in complete violation of SOP’s and Covid appropriate behavior which may result in spreading of Covid-19 and other related epidemic.
 
 Police have been directed to book the organizers of rally including Abdul Rehman Veeri, Sartaj Madni, Najmu Saqib, Javaid Ahmad Sheikh,  Majid Ahmad Khan, Abdul Majeed Rangraiz, Showkat Ahmad Teeli,  Mufti Sarwar, Arshid Ahmad Ganie and Nazir Ahmad Vaid.
   
“You are directed to book these persons under relevant section of law with an intimation to this office immediately,” Executive Magistrate in his communique has said. (KNT)
