No teacher to remain out of station from Feb 10: DSEK

Srinagar Jan 31: The Director School Education Kashmir, G N Itoo on Friday said that all the teachers should remain available at their respective stations from February 10, 2025 onwards.

The Director further said that the teachers need not to formally join in any office at district or zone level on February 10 but should ensure they are not out of station.

“Their services can be required at any point of time so they should remain available on call. They should not be out of station,” G N Itoo told Greater Kashmir.

The statement comes amid the confusion prevailing among the teaching community about their presence at the respective district headquarters.

Earlier, the department at the time of announcement of winter vacations, ordered that the teachers should remain present at their district headquarters from February 10 of 2025 while the schools will officially resume on March 1 of 2025.

“The teachers do not have to join any office but they should ensure their presence at their respective stations in view of exams,” G N Itoo said.

Earlier, the teachers said that they were asked by the district and zonal officers to join the schools on February 10 of 2025 creating confusion among the teaching community.

However, the director education has cleared the air and said the teachers need to remain present at the station.–(GK)
