Srinagar, 11 Oct (KB): In a spectacular display of cricket fervor, a massive crowd of over 10,000 enthusiastic fans thronged the Bakhshi Stadium to witness ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle’s batting in summer capital Srinagar on friday evening.

As per news agency Kashmir Bulletin, People thronged Srinagar stadium to witness the powerfull batting of legendary West Indian cricketer Chris Gayle.

The stadium erupted in cheers as Gayle took to the crease, unleashing a flurry of boundaries and sixes that left the audience excited.

Over ten thousand people are inside stadium to wintness batting of Universe Boss, said an official.

The excitement was palpable as fans from all corners of the valley gathered to catch a glimpse of the swashbuckling batsman in action. The electric atmosphere was a testament to the cricket-crazy fans of Kashmir, who have been deprived of international cricket for nearly four decades.

This match marks a significant milestone in Kashmir’s cricket history, with international cricket making a comeback to the valley after a 39-year.

The event has generated immense interest and enthusiasm among local cricket enthusiasts, who are eager to witness top-class cricket action in their own backyard. The event is being made successful by Jammu and Kashmir sports council led by secretary Nuzhat Jahangir, a major boost to cricket in the region is being seen. (KB)
