Anantnag, 26 April (KB): Following the recent Pahalgam incident, Jammu and Kashmir Police, in coordination with the Army, CRPF, and other security forces, have launched search and cordon operations across the district to curb militancy and its support networks in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

“As part of these operations, raids were conducted at various locations. Day and night search operations are being carried out,” an official told the Kashmir Bulletin (KB). So far, he said, around 175 suspects have been detained for questioning to dismantle networks aiding Militant activities.

Additional Mobile Vehicle Check Points (MVCPs) have been set up across the district to monitor movements and maintain public security, he said.

Th official also said that Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs), ambushes, and patrolling have been intensified, particularly in forest areas, to detect possible militant presence and secure the region.
