Srinagar, Oct 8, KNT: Renowned Gastrointestinal and liver surgeon Dr Mir Samiullah performed a rare surgery on a 65-year-old female patient from Srinagar.
The patient came with a diagnosis of peritoneal carcinomatosis in which the whole abdomen and peritoneal surface are studded with cancer cells. She was operated and cytoreductive surgery was performed removing the whole peritoneum and affected omentum.
The patient after the surgery is stable and doing well. Dr Mir Sammiullah in the past as well has performed these high-end surgeries. (KNT)
