Imtiyaz said, “we are a free democratic country, and the radical transformation we got is the spirit behind this law. Today, our motive was to create awareness.”

“From penal to justice, we changed from the Indian Penal Code to new criminal laws. The government’s motive is to keep these laws student-centric and to provide justice to people in a better way,” he said.

“We also made people aware of transparency and accountability, which have been introduced in these laws,” he said, adding that government awareness programs will continue.

“This student- and people-centric approach will work when people support and cooperate,” Imtiyaz said. (JKNS)
