Singhpora Pattan Residents Troubled by Frequent Power Outages

Baramulla, Jan 31: The residents of Mustafa Colony, Singhpora Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district staged protest on Friday against the Power Development Department (PDD) over the “erratic power supply” in the area.

The grieved residents blocked the Srinagar-Baramulla highway for some time and demanded restoration of the power supply.

The protesting residents said that the entire population of the Mustafa Colony is reeling under darkness for last two months and subsequently they are facing immense hardships.

“The authorities are acting as mute spectators to our sufferings. This forced us to stage the protest,” said one of the protestor.
