Soldier returning to duty from holidays goes missing in J&K

Anantnag, Feb 02 (KNO): A Territorial Army (TA) soldier on leave has gone missing in the Achabal area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said on Sunday.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the TA soldier of 162 TA unit was on a one-month leave and was supposed to report back for duty but went missing the same day.

He identified the missing TA soldier as Abid Hussain Bhat, son of Abdul Gani Bhat of Kharpora Chittergul.

A police officer told KNO that the search for the missing soldier is going on. “There is no terror angle in the case till now. A missing report has been registered,” he said—(KNO)
