Srinagar Girl tops 10th class exams, encourages students to keep hope alive

Srinagar, May 1(KB): Madiha Irshad, a student from Safakadal who scored 498 out of 500 in her 10th class exams, on Thursday urged young students to pursue their careers without stress and said that suicide is never an option for failure.
Speaking about her success, Madiha expressed immense gratitude to her parents, teachers, and mentors who supported her throughout her academic journey. “Alhamdulillah, I am very happy to have achieved this. My parents, teachers, and tutors were extremely supportive, and their belief in me helped me realize that I could accomplish this,” she said.
“I owe all of this to Allah, as everything happens by His will,” she added.
Madiha attended Latent School of Education in Kantar, Sadrbal. Reflecting on her study routine, she said that she prioritized morning study sessions and did not stress much if she couldn’t study during the day.
“I used to stay awake till midnight, but my mother would stay awake too, and I thought about her well-being, so I would sleep to ensure she rested,” she added.
When asked about her future plans, Madiha shared that she was initially uncertain about which stream to pursue.
“I was confused between non-medical and mathematics, as I like math a lot. After speaking with my teachers and family, I decided to take PCM,” she said.
Madiha expressed her deep gratitude to her teachers, family, and relatives for their constant support. “My teachers and my family, especially my parents, believed in me and helped me through every step. I am very thankful to them for their support,” she said.
“I would advise those who are struggling not to lose hope. Everything happens for a reason, and they should never give up. Suicide is not the answer. There is always a way forward, and with perseverance, they can achieve success in the future,” she said.(KB).
