‘Stop misleading the nation on Kashmir’: CM Omar Abdullah to National media

Yasir Najar

Srinagar, April 25 (KB): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has criticised sections of the national media for spreading what he described as misleading narratives about Kashmir after the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 28 tourists.

Abdullah, as per Kashmir Bulletin (KB), said that certain media outlets continue to present a distorted view of the region, which contributes to public misunderstanding and adds to existing tensions.

“Some national media outlets have made it their mission to project Kashmir through a distorted lens. They prioritize TRPs over truth, and in the process, they hurt the people of this region,” Abdullah said. stop

He called on media organizations to ensure accurate and responsible reporting, particularly on issues that influence public perception and social stability. “Journalism must inform, not inflame,” he said, urging a return to ethical standards in reporting.(KB).
