Srinagar, 15 Feb (EK): Kashmir can never forget August 2019, likewise Kashmiris studying outside Kashmir can not forget the contribution of then 1st year medical student from Rajiv Ghandi university, Umar Iqbal, now famous as The Umar.
This guy already had made special space in Kashmiri hearts when he helped almost everyone who reached him in August 2019 when all the connections back home were off.
His great behavior is not confined to Kashmiris, he believes love should be in the air irrespective of borders and due to such mentality this young boy from Siamoh Tral has won the hearts of millions of people irrespective of colour, caste, nationality and religion.
Umar has a huge fanbase in and outside valley which is clear from the comment section of his videos of his videos be it YouTube, Facebook or any other social media plateform.
His YouTube channel has crossed thousands of subscribers and his videos have lakhs and millions of views on YouTube and facebook respectively which depicts that he’s one among the unique content creators from Kashmir.
Umar has left no stone unturned in showcasing the beauty, hospitality, culture and tradition of Kashmir. Be it noon chai or pheran, Umar has introduced Kashmir culture and tradition to non Kashmiris in an appreciable way. His videos are clear picture of spreading love and positivity with generation of hope in humanity.
His videos force common masses to believe that humanity still exists and Kashmiris are core of it. His content has not only inspired Kashmir youth but it has influenced youth outside valley aswell. When someone like The Umar represents whole valley, it becomes proud moment for not only his family but for whole Kashmir, as he too calls himself KASHMIR when somebody asked his name while getting his help.
